The only question i thought about this morning when i was on the way to office was 'quit or not?'
I do understand I don't fit in the org. culture here. People are not cooperating, like to play game, no respect on the project timeline, only listen or work when their boss kicks them.
And then in the start of day meeting with the team, I felt disappointed again. A project rolled out from global, announced the production date was Monday, some people in the team involved in the UAT in Feb & Mar. Still, the question they asked this morning was 'when do we start to use the tool?'. I was quite surprised. when our team was involved in the UAT, it was supposed to use the tool as production as agreed. Why do we still have a question to ask ourselves when to use it? By the way, I don't know I am one of the user of this tool until this morning and I have no information what do I need to do in this tool. ....double disappointment.
Just the difficult part to make the decision is that I have a very good boss, he helps me in the career development. I just can't find the balance between a good boss and the tolerance of the culture.
Likely to say, I will keep myself unhappy here for a while, work more on my career. 1 or 2 years time? I know I can survive, but may not be happy in the team. But.. I can find my joy with some people in the firm. So, maybe still ok. heehee

i would say, do your assigned task and job right, with proper documentation. communication will help. glad to hear that you have a good boss. it's a tough decision but you have set up your long term goal. let's get these 'hiccups' within your team as 'challenges'. :)
