I was pissed off by a little kid at work on Friday.
He didn't show respect to me, I guess it is because I am not a Vice President, so he didn't give me face.
Fine then!
I also think he doesn't like me.
He commented me that I always think I am correct. I would say his comment is true, I do. My MBA classmates said I am very self-confident.
He didn't admit he is wrong, I don't think I am this kind of person. I admit I am wrong when it is proved to be wrong.
He insinuated to me that I bullshxt. I just don't know I am this kind of person. So, I do a self-assessment, I find out that I am not bullshxting, but just I know something that he does not and the most important is he doesn't believe I know that.
The only problem here is - he doesn't show respect to me (and some other common people). Why do I say this.......?
When I was studying in UK, the house-mates were talent people. They studied Law, Accounting, MBA, Hotel Management postgraduate degrees. They taught me a lot about living in London and the life in their mother countries.
One evening, after we finished shopping and on the way home, we discussed some common stuff around us. The guy who studied MBA told me he was surprised I knew so many things that he didn't. I thanks him.
I don't think I am knowledgeable than any of them, I just pay attention to many things happen around me, in the place I stay and in the world. I always claim I will not waste a penny to read a newspaper. I read all kinds of articles in the newspaper - local news, international news, finance, entertainment, and leisure stuff. I pay attention to the surroundings which make me remember a lot tiny things that people may not realize around them.
I thanked the MBA house-mate, because I felt he respected me as a little gal but knew many things that he didn't know.
Back to that little kid at work. I can do nothing to change his mind and his personality. I can only introduce a TV program to him - CEO Exchange. I hope that he can think big and show respect to others to make himself a great person.

Office politics? So far, I think I get along with the folks in my organization. I mean for those people that I actually had a chance to talk to them, or know them. Let's hope your work situation will improve one way or another.
Well, there are a few nice good people in the company. I think I am fine with general people but I cannot get along with those who treat me like an enemy.
I am still learning the acting skill. Try to put the nice smiling face on every second.
no good colleague in your company? how come so many politics seems like worse than IBM a lot......
anyone doesn't know this company is well-known for playing politics?
No company is not playing politics, just depends on how harsh it is.
